The USDA Special Projects Report page provides information on several of USDA’s special initiatives such as investments in anaerobic digesters, flexible fuel pumps, and wood to energy projects. Many of these special projects investments have been the result of increased coordination and leveraging of resources as well as Memorandums of Understanding between federal agencies and or private industry.
Payments - payments made directly to producers on a reoccurring basis
Grants - funding to assist with the development of a project
Loan guarantee - a loan made by a lender that carries a federal guarantee to mitigate the risk (for additional information see mission area program details)
Loan - a borrowed sum of money to be paid back with interest
Total Project Cost - the total amount of money it takes to develop a project
