- Screen reading: "Raedyn Grasseth, Mother of Riley Grasseth. On January 2, 2001 in Longview, WA., 9 month old Riley died of asphyxiation when her neck was caught in the collapsed side of a recalled Baby Trend portable crib."
- View of mother speaking: "Um, I borrowed it from a friend with a family. After I had my son, I'd loaned some of our baby stuff to them and then, you know, just trading back and forth...that sounds like what probably happened. Um, but we did not know at all. I hadn't even heard about it happening. The recall happened so long ago that I was just getting out of high school, I had no idea. I wasn't paying attention to things like that back then...Also I've been working with our local Red Cross and they've started "Riley's Hope" and this is just a card. It has Riley's picture on it, and it is urging parents to contact the Consumer Product Safety Commission to see if anything they have in their house is dangerous or if it's been recalled. The consumer hotline is 1-800-638-2772. Also, you can contact it or access it by logging on to www.cpsc.gov."

- Screen reading: "Ann Brown. Chairman, U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission."
- View of Chairman speaking: "The top rails on these cribs and play yards can collapse, causing a baby to become trapped and strangle. Thanks to a new safety standard, portable cribs and play yards sold in stores today, have top rails that automatically lock into place. If you're using an older crib or play yard, your baby could be at risk. Check the Consumer Product Safety Commission's recall list."
- Screen reading: "In 1995 Baby Trend offered a free repair for the cribs/play yards. To encourage consumers to search for these recalled
cribs/play yards, Baby Trend is now offering a free, new play yard to consumers who find and return the recalled product. Baby Trend is launching a new effort to reach caregivers by including flyers in new products and putting notices in newsletters..."
