Value of Donated Foods Notices

This page provides links to current and prior year Federal Register notices announcing the national average value of donated foods for the National School Lunch Program (NSLP) and the Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP).

	SY 2013 Value of Donated Foods - The national average rate for the period July 1, 2012 to June 30, 2013 is 22.75 cents for NSLP schools and CACFP.
	SY 2012 Value of Donated Foods - The national average rate for the period July 1, 2011 to June 30, 2012 is 22.25 cents for NSLP schools and CACFP.
	SY 2011 Value of Donated Foods - The national average rate for the period July 1, 2010 to June 30, 2011 is 20.25 cents for NSLP schools and CACFP.
	SY 2010 Value of Donated Foods - The national average rate for the period July 1, 2009 to June 30, 2010 is 19.50 cents for NSLP schools and CACFP.
	SY 2009 Value of Donated Foods - The national average rate for the period July 1, 2008 to June 30, 2009 is 20.75 cents for NSLP schools and CACFP.
	SY 2008 Value of Donated Foods - The national average rate for the period July 1, 2007 to June 30, 2008 was 18.75 cents for NSLP schools and CACFP.
	SY 2007 Value of Donated Foods - The "corrected" per-meal value of donated foods from July 1, 2006 to June 30, 2007 is 17.00 cents for NSLP schools and CACFP. (Note: there are no "commodity only" schools as in past years). (Note: This is a correction to the commodity meal rate of 16.75 cents which was originally published in the Federal Register on Monday, July 17, 2006, Vol. 71, No. 136.)
	SY 2006 Value of Donated Foods - The national average rate for the period July 1, 2005 to June 30, 2006 was 17.50 cents for NSLP schools and CACFP; and 39.50 cents for commodity only schools.
	SY 2005 Value of Donated Foods - The national average rate for the period July 1, 2004 to June 30, 2005 was 17.25 cents for NSLP schools and CACFP; and 38.25 cents for commodity only schools.
	SY 2004 Value of Donated Foods - The national average rate for the period July 1, 2005 to June 30, 2006 was 15.75 cents for NSLP schools and CACFP; and 36.75 cents for commodity only schools.
	SY 2003 Value of Donated Foods - The national average rate for the period July 1, 2005 to June 30, 2006 was 15.25 cents for NSLP schools and CACFP; and 35.25 cents for commodity only schools.
