Ajay Pillai serves as the Deputy Director for Requisition Services within the Office of Financial Planning & Analysis in HHS’s office of Assistant Secretary for Preparedness and Response (ASPR). He leads of division of 15 people who are responsible for requisition strategy and the management of all technical aspects of the budget execution process. Mr. Pillai ensures that ASPR’s $1.3 billion dollar budget is executed in a way that maximizes our resources to meets HHS's mission critical needs by providing technical analytical and statistical assistance and advice to respond various budgetary resource problems and issues. 

Mr. Pillai has over 12 years of experience in areas of Business Process Reengineering, Budget Analysis and Execution, and Human Resource for Government, Non-Profit, Education and Healthcare industries.

In recent years, Mr. Pillai has focused on providing Budget execution support and helped develop performance measures, as part of the Department of Homeland Security, Department of Justice and Health and Human Services, as well as to the intelligence community.

Mr. Pillai holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from Auburn University.
