ANNOTATION: The effectiveness of intervention programs ran by the Pennsylvania Department of Corrections (PA DOC) is evaluated. Sections comprising this report include: introduction; principles of effective intervention; the PA DOC; description of programming and services; Thinking for a Change (T4C) program; Batterer’s Intervention program; Violence Prevention program; Sex Offender program—outpatient and therapeutic community; delivery of treatment services; description of PA DOC assessment process; methods; data collection; results for overall strengths and areas for improvement and staff surveys; conclusion and recommendations. Overall, T4C is effective while the remaining programs need improvement.
