October 18, 2011 - In the wake of the sinking of Republic of Korea Ship(ROKS) Cheonan on March 26, 2010, the Ministry of National Defense organized a Civilian-Military Joint Investigation Group(JIG) and commenced an investigation in order to find the cause of the sinking.

September 10, 2010 - The USFK community is invited to the 2010 Korean American Cultural Friendship Festival this Saturday and Sunday (Sept. 11-12). The festival will be held in the Sinjang Shopping Mall and Sinjang Park areas.

Our conference serves to broaden people’s perspective on international relations and issues critical to improving strategic planning and the application of Irregular Warfare on the Korean peninsula and throughout Asia.

August 13, 2010 - The Republic of Korea (ROK) Armed Forces and the United States Forces Korea and Combined Forces Command (USFK/CFC) will conduct the annual Ulchi Freedom Guardian (UFG) exercise from August 16 – 26, 2010. UFG 10, like all other major CFC exercises, is designed to improve the Alliance’s ability to deter aggression and if deterrence fails, fight tonight and prevail in the ROK.
