TTB Notice No. 41 Comments

FORM LETTER 25

To the Chief of the TTB:

I believe consumer-friendly Serving Facts labeling for beer, wine and liquor products would be helpful and that allowing it is long overdue.

Current labeling regulations appear to be a mishmash of contradictory requirements and prohibitions that make apples-to-apples comparisons between products impossible.

At a minimum, the TTB should allow:

1. serving size
2. servings per container
3. alcohol per serving
4. calories per serving
5. grams of fat, carbs, protein per serving
6. a standard serving definition
(The definition recognized by most government agencies is 0.6 ounces of alcohol)

This basic information would help consumers make more informed decisions about what and how much they drink.

Thank you for your consideration.

Sincerely,

[Brewery/Business/Association Name Here]
