FY 2011

The Department of Defense and Full-Year Continuing Appropriations Act, 2011, P.L. 112-10, was passed by Congress on April 15, 2011. It provides funding for the Department of Education for the remainder of Federal Fiscal Year (FY) 2011. The FY 2011 appropriation for Gaining Early Awareness and Readiness for Undergraduate Programs (GEAR UP) is $302,816,154, approximately 6.3% below the 2010 level. Funding for the FY 2011 competition for new awards has been reduced accordingly, thereby allowing for no reductions applied to grantees scheduled to receive continuation awards in FY 2011.
