Research Grant to Study HIV and Alcohol Use
This grant allows for nonprofits, educational institutions and federally-recognized tribes, among others to conduct research around the topics of HIV/AIDS and alcohol. Funding is geared toward alcohol and/or HIV/AIDS researchers, including researchers without prior experience in HIV/AIDS or alcohol research, but with an understanding of the connection between problem drinking and HIV/AIDS and a strong interest in acquiring such experience and those who realize the importance of more intensive alcohol interventions to improving clinical outcomes among HIV positive individuals. The R03 is intended to support small research projects that can be carried out in a short period of time with limited resources. The deadline to apply is January 7, 2013. |
