Priorities

District of Massachusetts - Priority Areas

Although the Department of Justice expects each U.S. Attorney’s Office to assist in accomplishing the overall strategic goals of the Department, it relies on each office to determine the best method for doing so given the unique circumstances of their district. Each district is responsible for analyzing its needs and solidifying its commitment to key priority areas. In the District of Massachusetts, partnerships with law enforcement, government agencies and community stakeholders are invaluable. They directly and indirectly assist the District in developing prosecution and programmatic strategies for each of the priority areas.

U.S. Attorney Ortiz has identified the following as top priorities for the District which will assist the Department in meeting its overall goals:
