Due to a system glitch, many AFN customers lost television service on Sep. 22. The following steps should get your service back on line.
For customers with an AFN Decoder:
If you have a Cisco D9865 decoder, turn the power switch off on the back of the decoder, wait 30 seconds and then turn it back on.
If you have a D9835 or D9834 decoder, go into preset LNB and change FEC to 7/8, exit the menu and save. Then go back into the menu and change FEC back to 3/4, exit and save.
If you have a D9234 you will need to perform a factory reset:
Go to the Receiver Status > Receiver Setup and copy all setting. Than go to Receiver Status> User Setup> Factory Reset (to select yes you have to use the remote and push 1).Wait for the screen to go blank, and then wait until you see a flashing light on the front of the decoder. Once you see the flashing light you can turn the decoder back on. The decoder settings will need to be re-entered in the setup menu. Click this link to download the setup instructions.
***If you don't have a remote, you can use the arrow keys on the front of your decoder to change settings. When promoted to save changes, push the left and right arrow keys at the same time.
For customers with base cable connections:
We are working with all base cable providers to correct this issue. You can also contact your provider's service line to open a trouble ticket or get a status update.
