Contracting
Working with the federal government can provide many opportunities to small businesses. To help business owners work effectively with government, the Office of Government and General Contracting works with Government Contracting and Business Development (GC/BD) program offices and others to develop policies, regulations, and statutory changes. This effort is focused on creating an environment where maximum participation by small business—including disadvantaged and women-owned businesses—can be achieved through support such as financing, training, counseling, communication, and procurement and legislative policies.
