Peter Harrell, a member of Secretary Hillary Rodham Clinton’s Policy Planning Staff, delivered remarks to high school students on Wednesday, March 28 regarding “Current U.S. Foreign Policy Priorities.” Mr. Harrell then took questions from the audience, touching upon a wide range of policy priorities such as the Arab Spring, nonproliferation and empowering women and girls. The approximately 135 students in attendance were all from the Commonwealth Governor’s School, a magnet school in Fredericksburg, VA. Mr. Harrell was introduced by Jon Tollestrup, a Public Affairs Officer in the Bureau of Public Affairs.
