John HankusOctober 10, 2015Traffic. Check the reports before getting stuck in traffic. If you do get stuck, you will have fabulous views of Chesapeake Bay. Better hope there are no accidents either. Big backups.

Please don't slow and take pictures when you cross some of us like to actually get to the bay.- Your not suppose to change lanes on the bridge...that's how accidents happen. Stay in your lane and follow the overhead traffic control signals.
- If you suffer from gephyrophobia (anxiety disorder brought about by the fear of bridges) then this bridge is definitely not for you. 186-foot drop to the Chesapeake Bay at highest point. Look ahead!

Don't try to cross this bridge Eastbound on Friday May thru September; Westbound on Sundays. The Maryland Eastern Shore bridge traffic backs up 8-10 miles because of the beach.
