Initiative to Stimulate Adoption of Electronic Health Records
The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services' (HHS) Office of Minority Health and Quest Diagnostics are launching a program to stimulate adoption of electronic health records at participating small practices serving Houston, TX minority populations. Quest Diagnostics with subsidiary, MedPlus, will donate electronic health record (EHR) software and services as part of the initiative to foster broader adoption and use of EHRs and support efforts to reduce health disparities affecting minorities.
