Congressman Cleaver Announces Secretary Vilsack Visit

River flooding and drought have wreaked havoc on farmers in the Midwest, leaving many facing financial disaster.  Congressman Emanuel Cleaver, II, is working to make sure lawmakers find ways to provide fast and fair aid in the event of natural disasters, continue efforts in conservation and keep agricultural research as a priority.  

Congressman Cleaver is pleased to announce the visit of U.S. Agriculture Secretary Tom Vilsack to Odessa this Thursday, November 10th.   They will be in a roundtable discussion with area farmers to listen to issues, opinions and concerns.

The Congressman and Secretary Vilsack will be available for media interviews following the meeting.

Emanuel Cleaver, II is the U.S. Representative for Missouri’s Fifth Congressional District, which includes Kansas City, Independence, Lee's Summit, Raytown, Grandview, Sugar Creek, Belton, Raymore and Peculiar, Missouri.
