New "Virtual Incubation" Webinar Series to Help Community Colleges Support Small-Business Growth
The American Association of Community Colleges' (AACC) Center for Workforce and Economic Development is offering a series of webinars in August and September to help community colleges learn how they can develop "virtual incubation" services to encourage innovation and support new and existing small businesses in their communities. The webinars will focus on the tools outlined in the AACC's Virtual Incubation Network Toolkit. To learn more about the toolkit and register for the webinars, visit the AACC Web site.
 
 

Obama Administration Announces $9 Million Investment in Rural Communities through Rural Jobs and Innovation Accelerator Challenge
The 13 selected projects will promote job creation, spur innovation, and provide assistance to entrepreneurs and businesses in a wide range of industrial sectors. The five winning Appalachian projects will receive a total of more than $4.2 million.   Press release
