At the same time, these changes pose challenges for immunization programs. Immunization programs have been faced with implementing a considerable number of new vaccine recommendations, including expanded recommendations for influenza vaccines, a new meningococcal vaccine, and a new pertussis-containing vaccine for adolescents.
