I remember reading a similar story about the famous "Sky City" or Acoma Pueblo of New Mexico in National Geographic Magazine. The abuse against and enslavement of the indigenous people by the Spanish was a terrible chapter in history. Michael Wilcox is correct to say that you do not read about incidents like the saga of the Pueblo Revolt in ... See MoreAmerican History books, at least I never did! Furthermore, Native Americans today should have the first and final say over what happens at archaeology sites on their property!

I agree Pam, but if you think about it, all of pre-European N. and S. Amer. had millions of people and thousands of places would be archaeological sites. We'd have to tear down a lot of cities, highways, airports, railroads, ports, not to mention all those shopping malls and Wal-Marts! Hmmm...we could start over and do it better?

National Museum of the American Indian Capilla del Sol, an Argentine baroque ensemble, performs sacred and secular music from the colonial era composed for Jesuit missions in Latin America.
