Raymond Fliller

Assistant Physicist - NSLS-II Accelerator Systems


Prior to joining NSLS-II on September 15th 2008, Dr. Fliller was a postdoctoral research associate at Fermi National Accelerator Laboratory. He was a member of Accelerator Division, A0 Photo injector Group collaborating on experiments to produce transverse to longitudinal emittance exchanges.

Ray attained his PhD from SUNY Stonybrook and worked as a graduate student at Brookhaven responsible for developing and measuring the performance of the RHIC Crystal Collimator.

His responsibilities include participating in the design, testing and commissioning of the NSLS-II accelerators. In addition, he will have the opportunity of carrying out R&D to advance the state-of-the-art in the beam physics of synchrotron light sources.
