U.S., ROK Navies train Together at Sea

OFF THE EAST COAST OF KOREA (March 14, 2012) A U.S. Navy MH-53E Sea Dragon prepares to land on a Wonsan class mine layer ROKS Wonsan (MLS 560) as part of exercise Foal Eagle 2012. The exercise is a bilateral series of training events that are defense oriented, annual, and designated to increase readiness to defend the Republic of Korea, protect the region, and maintain stability on the peninsula. The MH-53E Sea Dragon is conducting Airborne Mine Countermeasure missions as part of Helicopter Mine Countermeasures Squadron (HM) 14 Detachment One, forward deployed in Pohang, Republic of Korea.
