DEPARTMENT OF JUSTICE HIGHLIGHTS VIOLENCE AGAINST WOMEN ACT
WASHINGTON - As part of the Department of Justice's year-long commemoration of the 15th anniversary of the Violence Against Women Act, the National Institute of Justice (NIJ) annual conference will hold a panel entitled, "Sexual Violence Research 15 Years after Violence Against Women Act of 1994," TODAY, JUNE 15, 2010 at 1:15 P.M. EDT.
The NIJ will continue to highlight the progress on WEDNESDAY, JUNE 16, 2010 at 12 P.M. EDT, when Paula Zahn, host of On the Case with Paula Zahn, provides the keynote address during the conference luncheon, followed by a distinguished panel of experts discussing the progress and results of sexual violence research since the passage of the Violence Against Women Act. Both panels will examine how research has contributed to policy, assess current knowledge gaps and research needs for the victims' services community.
