Before graduation from Air Force Basic Military Training, recruits participate in the Airman’s Run. During the Airman’s Run, recruits run for 1.5 miles as their family members — who haven’t seen their loved ones in over eight weeks — cheer them on. After the graduation ceremony, recruits can go on base liberty so that they can spend time with family and friends.
