After Basic Training, the next step for Soldiers is Advanced Individual Training (AIT), where they study for their specific jobs.
The type and length of AIT varies depending on a Soldier’s Military Occupational Specialty (MOS). For example, a helicopter repairer would attend Aviation Logistics School, and a chemical, biological, radiological and nuclear (CBRN) specialist would attend Chemical School.
