NSLS-II Beamline Development Proposals Workshops

The National Synchrotron Light Source II (NSLS-II), a highly optimized third-generation synchrotron facility currently under construction at the U.S. Department of Energys Brookhaven National Laboratory on Long Island, NY, has issued the 2011 Call for Beamline Development Proposals for experimental facilities that may be implemented at NSLS-II. Detailed information can be found at http://www.bnl.gov/nsls2/2011BeamlineProposals.asp.

In order to assist the scientific community in the proposal process, NSLS-II sponsors a series of Beamline Development Workshops each time a call is issued. The purpose of these workshops is to enhance communications among the interested user groups in beamline development and to coordinate activities that may be relevant to specific proposal teams. The overall objective is to facilitate the development of cutting-edge beamline proposals with excellent scientific and technical cases as well as broad community involvement from a wide range of research disciplines.

The current list of Beamline Development Workshops is shown below. All workshops are open to the public and presentations will be posted on line as they become available. Please contact the Workshop Chairs for more information on a specific workshop.
