Smart Web Move (SWM) system has been
permanently retired and replaced by
Defense Personal Property System (DPS).

If you need to request a personal property move, please use the Defense Personal Property System (DPS) at www.move.mil.

**************************************

If you entered this page via DPS, please review the information below under “Welcome to the Defense Personal Property System”, close this window to acknowledge your Branch of Service information and continue your DPS Self Counseling.

If you need functional assistance using DPS, please contact your local Personal Property Shipping Office (PPSO).

If you should have additional questions concerning your personal property and/or privately owned vehicle (POV) or motorcycle entitlements, please contact your local Household goods (HHG) Personal Property Shipping Office (PPSO) or the Navy HHG entitlement Helpline toll free at 1-855-HHG-MOVE or email to
householdgoods@navy.mil.

Who Should NOT be using DPS?

All move requests can be submitted using DPS however if you are doing any of these following shipment types and have difficulties you should contact your local Personal Property Shipping Office (PPSO):

·         Joint Moves (where both adults in a household are Service Members/DoD Civilians).  The DPS functionality does not yet fully accommodate these moves.

·         Local Moves (other than Personal Procured Moves {PPM}).

·         Shipments that include boats and/or mobile homes (please contact your local PPSO).

If you are unsure of your eligibility to use DPS, please contact your local PPSO for assistance or email
householdgoods@navy.mil.

What you can use DPS for:

·         Self Counseling – eliminates the need to visit a Household Goods (HHG) or Personal Property Shipping Office (PPSO).

·         Manage your HHG shipments online, schedule delivery, request and extend storage entitlements, check the status of shipments throughout the entire move process.

·         File Loss/Damage claims online.

·         Complete your Customer Satisfaction Survey (CSS).

NOTE:  Once your shipment has been delivered, please complete the Customer Satisfaction Survey through the www.move.mil Website.  Once you have logged into DPS, click on the Customer Satisfaction Survey (CSS) tab and evaluate your move.  Completing the survey is a mandatory requirement of the Defense Personal Property Program.  Your feedback is crucial and ensures that only the highest quality Transportation Service Providers (TSPs) move household goods for our Navy Service members, civilian employees and their families.  Thank you in advance for your participation.

Information Regarding Personally Procured Moves (PPM):

Personally Procured Moves (PPMs aka DITY move):

·         Due to regulation changes, the Personally Procured Calculator has been deactivated until it can be updated.

·         All or a portion of the Service Member’s full JFTR/JTR weight allowance can be moved instead of using a commercial Transportation Service Provider (TSP).

·         The Service Member collects an incentive payment.

·         Combined Weight of all shipments cannot exceed the maximum JFTR weight allowance.

·         Service Member self-counsels in DPS and the Personal Property allowance prepares the PPM documents.
