The Alabama Department of Economic and Community Affairs (ADECA) is now offering an energy efficiency and renewable energy revolving loan fund called AlabamaSAVES. The funds are available to businesses and industries located in Alabama for retrofitting existing facilities. A variety of technologies are eligible; see the program technical guide for details.
In order to apply, interested parties must first have an energy audit completed by an approved vendor. A list of approved vendors is available on the program web site. Once complete, the business should mail in the application to Abundant Power Solutions along with the energy audit and the application fee. The loan approval process takes 30-45 days.
