Print Friendly Version

Great Bay National Wildlife Refuge held it's third annual Open House on Saturday, September 8th. The event included behind the scenes bus tours into closed areas of the refuge, giving visitors an opportunity to learn about refuge management. The Central New England Fishery Resource Office provided electro-shocking demonstrations in one of the refuge ponds, while visitors also had an opportunity to try their hand at archery, thanks to staff from the New England Field Office. Other activities at the open house included live birds of prey presentations and a marine animal touch tank. An estimated 150 people attended the event.
