Floating Hospitals Receiving System Conversion to TMIP-J Platform
The United States Naval Ship Comfort (T-AH-20), and her sister ship, the USNS Mercy (T-AH-19), are the Navy’s two current hospital ships operated by Military Sealift Command. The Comfort and Mercy recently converted to a Theater health care documentation platform, which provides Theater-like capabilities to support the mission of a hospital ship when deployed at sea.

The Defense Health Information Management System successfully completed a multi-hospital and Tri-Service Essentris® implementation project unrivaled in scope by civilian health systems. Essentris®, a clinical documentation system for use in acute care hospitals, allows worldwide documentation of inpatient records for all service members and beneficiaries.

DHIMS Launches Knowledge Sharing Site
The Defense Health Information Management system recently launched the DHIMS Knowledge Sharing Site, a worldwide social collaboration tool that provides users access to product information and connectivity with other electronic health record system users and DHIMS trainers. The KSS provides users with streaming video, computer based training, quick guide libraries, unique course material, discussion groups and various collaboration tools.
