This database is a comprehensive selection of computer-generated audio modem tones for testing the interoperability of Automatic Link Establishment (ALE) High Frequency (HF) radios that have been built to the specifications of Federal Standards (FED-STD)-1045A and 1046/1. The database has been recorded on a single 47 minute audio compact disc (CD) in 62 tracks. The CD also contains a narrative on the purpose and use of the data, and a set of calibration tones for aligning the system under test. The database tones on the CD are perfect representations of the calls required by the referenced Federal Standards, because the tones were generated in a computer package. It contains instructions and documentation for each of the test tracks and information on how to perform the tests. The ALE Clean Tone Audio CD has the following features:
