Seriously people, How dumb can we get. It's a great picture. I'm not sure why they are shooting those pretty clouds though. Seems like a waste of ammo. Shouldn't they be using targets? I mean the clouds haven't done anything to us.

Just Sayin' is probably upset that they're not all wearing reflective belts too. You know the Air Force's new motto Safety at the expense of everything else including the mission.

Show me where you can fire with double protection while wearing the helmet that the Air Force REQUIRES you to wear when firing before a deployment. I don't think ear-plug police is the answer. Awesome job to the Security Forces members training to deploy and to protect our freedom Great job.

Double protection is worn by the cadre you can't wear a headset over a helmet..... double protection only provides and additional 3db... foam ear plugs are rated at 27db... the noise of the 12 gauge is around 130db so the impact noise exposure is around 103db its not a constant exposure so there is minimum.

They are using yellow earplugs. I am guessing they are not using the standard ear protection becuase they are wearing helmets and it is an outdoor range so the earplugs do the job.

It is certainly nice to see that the Nevada Air National Guard's 152nd Airlift Wing CATM section enforces the double hearing protection on their firing range. NOT
