Welcome to the IJIS Institute

Who We Are

The IJIS Institute is a nonprofit membership organization dedicated to joining forces with its Member companies to unite the private and public sectors for improving mission-critical information sharing.

Our Members are information technology companies and consultancies that provide solutions to the justice, public safety, and homeland security sectors to help these communities share information. Join the IJIS Institute today—together with our Members, we are making a real difference in information sharing projects across the nation at all levels of government—making our nation safer and more secure.

The IJIS Institute is funded by our Members and by grants from the U.S. Department of Justice, the Bureau of Justice Assistance, and the U.S. Department of Homeland Security.

What We Do

The IJIS Institute is unique. We are the only national organization that brings together industry and government in an effort to improve national security and promote effective information sharing across all levels of the justice, public safety, and homeland security communities.

The IJIS Institute brings technology to the table

Our members are leaders and innovators in the information technology field. When the criminal justice, public safety, and homeland security communities have a need to share information, our members provide the technology solutions to make that happen.

How We Do It

The IJIS Institute fosters relationships between industry and government by delivering services and facilitating programs that promote national information technology standards and improve information sharing across jurisdictions at all levels.

We accomplish this through volunteer committees composed of our member companies and focused on national priorities and mission-critical initiatives; providing low cost or no cost training and technical engagements; and speaking at national and regional conferences and meetings about technology issues and trends.
