Tom A. Bernstein

Tom A. Bernstein was appointed chairman of the United States Holocaust Memorial Council by President Obama in September 2010. He has served on the Council since 2002, when he was appointed by President George W. Bush. Mr. Bernstein is president and cofounder of Chelsea Piers, LP, which developed and operates a 30-acre waterfront sports and entertainment complex in New York. Active in several organizations, he is chair of the Partnership for Public Service and the Fund for Cities of Service, vice chair of Human Rights First, and a member of the board of the Center for Civil and Human Rights in Atlanta and the Yale University Council.
