The chaplain officer basic training is thirteen weeks at the glorious post of Fort Jackson. There are four different phases of the training. CMIT is where you learn your basic soldiers skills such as map reading, land navigation and how to march. Then the other three phases focus on chaplain duties. You do some really cool stuff in CHBOLC, but then there are also a lot of power point presentations as well. Some of the things we do are.....
Military funerals and honors-
Ramp ceremonies-
Basic staff work-
Field services and religious work-
*They may even take you to see the dead*
etc. etc. etc.
