    Default Buying my time

I am currently a 20yr veteran on my police department. I served in the Guard in the 80's. Can I buy back my active duty time for that period? And what does constitute active duty?? Does the annaual training count, my time in Hondurus or my drill weekends, or just Basic and ADT.

    Thanks in advance

Is it a federal job? You will need to have your DD214 and NGB 22 which lists the amount of days you served on active duty and in the Guard.

I am an active duty soldier (title 10). For your situation, I believe that your IET days and time you were on title 32 orders may count. How long you served for?

Slicker believed you may be a federal employee, but in the event you are a municipal/county government employee, you will have to refer not to the military, but to the rules surrounding your specific local retirement plan. I agree with FCS, that the 214 and/or 22 is the primary verification document.
