Defense Audit Readiness is a monthly newsletter for anyone interested in staying connected to the Department’s financial improvement and audit readiness efforts. Through the newsletter, financial and functional managers can share best practices and read about news and events affecting financial operations. Article submissions are welcomed.

To subscribe, email OfficeoftheDCFO@osd.mil. To subscribe an office or group, please email a spreadsheet including the first and last names, organization, and email addresses of each new subscriber.

The FIAR Directorate milBook group page is another way to stay up to date on the latest announcements and news about audit readiness. The FIAR Group on milBook is accessible only to those within the .mil environment but is not limited to any one Service or entity. You can also use the FIAR Group to ask questions or start a discussion on topics of interest. To join the CAC-enabled FIAR Group on milBook:

• Use your Web browser to go to the https://www.milsuite.mil/book/groups/fiar?view=overview.
• If you are not already a milBook member, the site will prompt you to register to join.
• Search for the “FIAR” page.
• From the FIAR Group homepage, click on "join this group."
• Keep the "Email Notifications" on so that you will know about the latest updates!
