Expect clear to mostly clear skies early this evening thanks to high pressure over the region. The clear skies will help temperatures to plummet across the Arrowhead and northwestern Wisconsin, but temperatures across central and north central Minnesota will be bolstered by increasing cloud cover from the west. This cloud cover will spread over northeastern Minnesota overnight. A low pressure system will move into southern Saskatchewan late tonight and will move into southern Manitoba Sunday. The approaching system will likely develop light snow across northern Minnesota Sunday, primarily during the late morning through the afternoon. Far northern Minnesota, including International Falls and Ely, could pick up 1 to 2 inches of snow through Sunday afternoon. Light snow could continue across the Northland into Tuesday as the system cuts across the Minnesota/Canada border.
