Graphical depiction of the weather story for today.

For today and tonight:
Areas of light snow will continue in the mountains along and just
west of the Continental Divide into early this evening.
Accumulations will be minimal, maybe another 2 inches or so
through sunset. West winds of 25 to 45 mph will cause blowing and
drifting snow above 11000 feet. The rest of the forecast area will
remain dry this afternoon and tonight.

For Saturday through Thursday:
Strong gusty winds will develop across the mountains and
foothills Sunday, spreading onto the nearby adjacent plains in
the afternoon. Wind gusts in excess of 60 mph will be possible
in and near the Front Range mountains and foothills. Snow and
blowing snow will also develop in the mountains with hazardous
travel conditions possible Sunday afternoon and night. A few
inches of accumulation can be expected mainly in elevations above
9000 feet. By Monday, mountain snow will decrease but the strong
winds will likely spread across the northeast plains.

The gusty winds and mountain snow will occur as a fast moving and
potent upper level storm system moves from the Northern Rockies
Sunday into the Central Plains states by Monday.

Spotter activation will not be needed today or tonight.
