Welcome to the DCPAS Web Site on DoD Civilian and Employee Mandatory Training
The DoD-wide Mandatory Training Information Website (MTIW) is an innovative way to provide consolidated information about mandatory training requirements across DoD communities. It is designed to provide information on mandatory training courses from the course list.
The website is also a source that links employees to their respective DoD Component's training website. The following links are active at this time: Defense Logistics Agency, Defense Information Systems Agency, Washington Headquarters Services, National Guards, and U.S. Army.
The DoD-wide MTIW operates under the authority of the DoD Instruction 1400.25, Volume 410 policy on civilian employee, training, education, and professional development. The purpose of governing policies is to ensure DoD civilian employees conform to the DoD mandatory training policy guidance, which applies to all DoD civilian employees. (Currently the DoD Instruction 1400.25 - V410 is in final coordination. Please check back for posting or approval.)
The Roles and Responsibilities:
Civilian Personnel Policy (CPP):
- Approves new or revised policy.
DCPAS:
- Works with CPP on policy changes
- Provides information about (MTIW) to DoD workforce
- Monitors and maintains accurate information on Web Site
- Recommends policy changes to CPP.
Components:
- Provide current information to DCPAS on changes in web links and mandatory training courses
- Recommend policy changes or new policy to CPP and DCPAS.
Civilian Employees:
- Follow DoD policy and procedures as outlined in DoD Instruction 1400.25-V410
- Ensure training is completed and required documents are submitted for validation as indicative of their prospective agency.
Management of the Mandatory Training Requirements:
The DoD MTIW is managed by DCPAS/LPD Division. It exists to provide standardized practice for meeting policy requirements to increase workforce knowledge. Having the policy incorporated into the MTIW ensures compliances with publishing mandatory training requirements and supports the DoD mission.
