Female Exiters by WIA Program PY2008-2010




National Wear Red Day for Women's Heart Disease: On Friday, February 3, 2012, National Wear Red Day, Americans will wear red to show their support for women's heart health. Over 2.5 million women received services through Workforce Investment Act (WIA) programs from PY 2008 to PY 2010. The total for PY 2008 was over 700,000. In PY2009 over 875,000 women completed the program (exited), and in PY2010 over 900,000 women exiters across programs. During the three-year period, of the 2.5 million women who exited from WIA programs over 1.4 million women found employment after completing program services.
