HUD awards grants to organizations and groups for a variety of purposes. To participate in the HUD grants program, you need to be registered with Grants.gov.
Using Grants.Gov
To participate in the HUD grants program, you will need to be registered with Grants.gov, obtain a DUNS number and Register with CCR.

Grants.gov has two new WebEx recorded (audio) slide presentations specifically targeting Grants.gov grantors, applicants and E-Biz POCs on the upcoming security features that will be implemented as a result of the October Security Build scheduled for deployment October 9-10. The presentations provide a step-by-step overview of how the new security requirements will affect all Grants.gov users.

Grants.gov is doing a Security Build -The Security Build is an update to the Grants.gov system to comply with the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) security standards. The changes for the build will be available on October 11, 2010. |

Data Universal Numbers System (DUNS) - A DUNS number is a unique nine character identification number. |

Central Contract Registration (CCR) Users - Central Contractor Registration (CCR) is the primary registrant database for the U.S. Federal Government. CCR collects, validates, stores, and disseminates data in support of agency acquisition missions, including federal agency contract and assistance awards. |
