Community Outreach

For more than a half-century, INL has put science to work, addressing some of the nation's most pressing environmental, energy, and nuclear technology challenges. Given INL's national prominence as a science and research center there is genuine interest by many people to learn more about the laboratory's operations. We invite you to learn more about INL.

INL Community Support and Donations

INL is dedicated to improving the quality of life in our community and region. We do this through several activities:

  • Team INL
Team INL is an employee-driven volunteer program supporting causes in the communities where INL employees live.

  • Educational Support and Contributions
Helping to educate the next generation of scientists and engineers by increasing engagement in science and math in public classrooms.

  • Community Giving Program
BEA corporate funds are used for philanthropic projects that focus on civic and community causes, health and human services, and arts and culture. Guidelines for applying for funds can be found here.

  • Technology-Based Economic Development
Partnering with organizations to help bring new economic vitality to our community, and translating science and technology into new businesses and employment growth.

  • Community Technical Assistance Program
INL scientists and engineers offer technical skills and Lab resources to the community which is not normally available without a fee.
