60mm and 81mm Mortars
With 60 mm and 81 mm mortars, Marines work together to provide constant and accurate high-angle suppressive fire. Marine mortar teams must interpret calls for fire from a forward observer in order to locate their targets on a map and then convert that data into a firing solution for their mortars. This allows them to deliver mortar fire in a timely response to the ground units they support.
