U.S. Secretary of Education Arne Duncan will participate in National Small Business Week's Procurement Awards Breakfast at the Mandarin Oriental Hotel in Washington, D.C. The breakfast, which takes place on Tuesday, May 22, will focus on government contracting and contracting opportunities for small businesses. It is part of the two and a half day conference hosted by the U.S. Small Business Administration. During the awards breakfast, small businesses that have provided the government and industry with outstanding goods and services will be honored. Government agencies that excelled in providing small business contracting opportunities also will be recognized.

National Small Business Week is May 20-26. The conference, which began on Sunday, May 20, focuses on small business accomplishments, including disaster recovery, procurement and entrepreneurial success.
