Media Advisory -- Gov. O'Malley, Sen. Mikulski to Open Baltimore 2010 Census Office

What:
Gov. Martin O'Malley and U.S. Sen. Barbara Mikulski, along with other elected officials and community leaders, will preside over the ribbon-cutting ceremony for the Baltimore East Local Census Office. This office will support field operations in East Baltimore for the 2010 Census and employ up to 1,400 people. The regional 2010 Census vehicle, nicknamed "The Constitution," and interactive walk-through exhibits will be open to the community following the indoor ceremony.
Inside the vehicle, participants can learn about the 2010 Census and understand the benefits a complete count can bring to communities in Maryland; view a sample 2010 Census form and contribute stories and photos to the "Portrait of America" project to explain why "I count!"; and view messages from other Road Tour participants.

The road tour vehicle and interactive display will be available until 2 p.m.
