10/1/2010 - WASHINGTON (AFNS) -- Air Force officials are fielding a radar pod designated the AN/ASQ-236.

The new pod was fielded on the F-15E Strike Eagle this summer.

The release of this new sensor will enhance all-weather precision geo-location and provide greater surveillance and reconnaissance capabilities supporting current and future operations.
