Is the SSCF a full-time program?
Yes. Applicants selected for SSCF will be enrolled in the program on a full-time basis for 10 months. Participants will be on a special assignment and will not continue in day-to-day activities associated with their normal positions. The Fellowship will take place at each site’s respective location with several events requiring travel.
Will I go back to my original job after I’ve completed the SSCF program?
The intent of the program is to develop future defense acquisition leaders. The DACM has specified that all selectees should be assigned to positions of greater responsibility. Therefore, Fellows may be assigned to new positions outside of their current organizations or in a new area within their organization.
Will I have to PCS to a new assignment after the program?
No. The intent is to provide career opportunities in your local area, but you might want to consider other sites that have career opportunities more in line with your interests and experience.
Can I apply if I am not a U.S. Army Civilian?
Yes, if you are not a U.S. Army Civilian and are interested in the program, please contact the SSCF Director at the region for which you wish to apply.

Applicants must submit their application on-line using the Army Acquisition Professional Development System (AAPDS) within the Career Acquisition Management Portal (CAMP)/ Career Acquisition Personnel and Position Management Information System (CAPPMIS) at website: https://rda.altess.army.mil/camp/. |
