University of Idaho reserve linebacker Corey Sandberg didn't hear the oath taken by a handful of young men and women over the public-address system at halftime on Military Appreciation Day, but then again, he didn't need to hear it. He already knows it. It was very similar to an oath he took seven years ago when swearing in for military service as a wide-eyed, fresh-out-of-high-school teenager in a time of war.

Theaters start program for military families, veterans

Nearly two dozen theaters around the country will offer free and discounted tickets for plays, classes and other services to veterans and military families under a program being launched this week that builds off a similar one for museums.
