Alice T. Cialella

Group Leader, Scientific Information Systems Group

Alice Cialella has worked in many capacities as a liaison between scientific researchers and the infrastructure activities of the DOE Atmospheric Radiation Monitoring (ARM) program. Currently, she is the manager of the ARM External Data Center, which collects and processes relevant atmospheric data from outside agencies for the ARM Program. She has developed data translation programs for the ARM Program, participated in engineering development, and is a member of the board which decides the engineering activities undertaken by the ARM program, as well as strategic planning of the ARM infrastructure. She created a portal for users to view interactive maps of the ARM data sites and created tools to facilitate access to final datasets from ARM field campaigns for the data users. She also participates in an oversight group that ensures that data are flowing from instruments, through data collection, to the data repository.
