Walk-In Flu Shot Clinic on Saturday, October 13th

The Captain James A. Lovell Federal Health Care Center will be hosting a Walk-In Flu Shot Clinic on Saturday, October 13th, 2012, at two locations in North Chicago and the McHenry Community Based Outpatient Clinic. Both clinics are available from 7:30am to 2:30PM and are located at 3001 Green Bay Road in North Chicago and 620 South Route 31, Suite 4, in McHenry, Illinois.   Read more...

First Change of Command

Sailors dressed in whites lined the railings of the “upper deck” overlooking the ceremony floor, the Lovell Federal Health Care Center’s civilian director was “piped aboard” along with U.S. Navy leaders in the official party, and accolades included special thanks from the Secretary of Veterans Affairs when U.S. Navy Capt. David J. Beardsley changed command with new Deputy Director and Commanding Officer Capt. José A. Acosta. Full Story

With the nation’s first federal health care center as a backdrop, Defense Secretary Leon Panetta joined Veterans Affairs Secretary Eric Shinseki to announce milestones in the fielding of an electronic health care record that will follow military recruits from the day they enlist until the day they are buried with Veterans’ honors.
